He has betrayed the vows he swore at his coronation, and instead of upholding the protestant Christian religion, he has gone out of his way to give credence to a prophet who was far worse than his brother Andrew. I'm of British descent (first gen American) and I am completely ignorant of the Crusades. They were ignored in my education.
Charlemagne fought an invasion at the pyrenees, Sobieski and Eugene fought an invasion at Vienna. The modern enlightened leaders simply invited them in.

The best way to preserve anything is to use it. The British must repurpose the Crusades for todays issues, as you are doing. It is a good match given our predicament. And an understanding of its importance and continued relevance may usher in a curiosity of other aspects of British history the Lanyardians are keen to overlook. Magna Carta is top of that list closely followed by King Alfred in my view. Kids get the holocaust rammed down their throat but nothing on our great history.

Since when are the facts about history " offensive "? Facts are just that dates and events not your personal opinion or feelings.
We can never be shown in a positive light. Most cannot comprehend the degree of hatred some have for us and our history. It is psychotic.
