Kelsi Sheren On The Dangerous Philosophy Behind Assisted Dying In The West

Kelsi Sheren, a Canadian war veteran and activist against assisted dying, discusses the expansion of “Assisted Dying” and euthanasia in Canada, Britain, USA and the West.

In the U.K. the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, introduced by Kim Leadbeater, proposes to legalize assisted dying for terminally ill adults in England and Wales. Sheren explains the dangers of this proposed bill.

She argues that MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying), initially intended for terminally ill individuals, has expanded to include those with mental illnesses and mature minors. She cites examples of misuse, such as a 27-year-old autistic woman approved for MAID. Sheeran emphasizes the slippery slope towards eugenics and the societal impact of devaluing lives.
