How Woke Big Tech Manipulates People
Dave Rubin - The Winston Marshall Show
The latest revelations that Google's AI chatbot service Gemini is distorted to radical progressivism is a reminder of the political manipulations of Silicon Valley. This is part of long story, one we know well, from the infamous 'Twitter Files' to politically correct Chat GPT.
But what's really going on behind the scenes? And can anything be done about it?
Dave Rubin is one of the original political Youtubers, who has gone on to build the Locals social media platform as well as be a part of the Rumble alternative video platform. He was a 'Twitter Files' journalist, invited by Elon Musk to investigate censorship at the social media giant Twitter.
I sat with Dave at his studio in Florida for a deep dive. What has he learnt by his peeks behind the curtains? And how is his fight back going? Can Big Tech be overcome? We also looked at what this all meant for the upcoming 2024 Presidential election and the future of America.
It was wonderful to sit down with Dave. It was part of two interviews, the other I sat for him on his show Rubin Report, which I shall share when published.
Great insight from one of the pioneers of new media.

All media "woke" or otherwise manipulate peoples minds, emotions and bodies - that is their business model. Shock, horror, scandal, murder and mayhem sell more newspapers. So too movies both big screen and the now very popular streaming series.
Televised war is good for business. You could watch the shock-and-awe bombing of Baghdad in full colour and with real time sound too. Without the sound of terrified screams, the sighting of smithereened bodies and rivers of blood.
Many years ago a news service was put in place which only dealt with good news stories - it very soon went out of business. Some "news" papers decided to feature only good news and headlines on its first few pages. As a reponse significant numbers of people phoned the publishers wanting to know as to what happened to the "news" - the good news experiment was soon abandoned.
